Hi, I've set up two SDL WANic's and they are attached to a 64k kilostream
line, I'm completely stumped now with some LCP errors...

<excerpt from /var/log/messages at this end>
sr1: lcp output <conf-req id=ah len=ah 5-6-33-ec-13-93>
sr1: lcp input(C): 10 bytes <conf-ack id=ah len=ah 5-6-33-ec-13-93>

<ifconfig sr1 (this end)>
sr1: flags=8055<UP,DEBUG,POINTOPOINT,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
        inet 194.207.135.10 --> 194.207.135.9 netmask 0xffffff00

[
as a side note, sr0 at this end is driving an E1 and has been for six
months without a problem.
sr0: flags=8051<UP,POINTOPOINT,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
        inet 194.207.3.10 --> 194.207.3.9 netmask 0xffffff00
So, although it's a silly netmask it doesn't matter
]

<attempting to use the line from this end>
root@doctor-claw# ping 194.207.135.9
PING 194.207.135.9 (194.207.135.9): 56 data bytes
ping: sendto: Network is down
ping: wrote 194.207.135.9 64 chars, ret=-1

root@doctor-claw# netstat -i -I sr1
Name Mtu Network Address Ipkts Ierrs Opkts Oerrs Coll
sr1   1500  <Link>                             960 1227058    33164   712  0
sr1   1500  194.207.135   194.207.135.10       960 1227058    33164   712  0

So, it looks to me like the line gets some use, no surprises though that
even though this kilostream comes in a 5 foot rack it's only got one LED,
and that's for power. So I can't give much more in the way of diagnostics
there.

----
On the other end I have ...
----

sr0: inet 194.207.135.9 --> 194.207.135.10 netmask 0xffffff00

same sort of network down problems but I get
illegal conf-req in state starting (some numbers).

I'd can't say more about what the other end says because it's 5 miles
away again and I can't get into it easily at the moment. (obviously)

I did have some problems with the actual wiring of the lead (the
kilostream is DB15 and the WANic is DB26), but the cables are okay now,
and I've swapped them both with those for this line I'm using now.

Any ideas ?
