            Bug ID: 223598
           Summary: ls utf output
           Product: Base System
           Version: 11.1-STABLE
          Hardware: amd64
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Only Me
          Priority: ---
         Component: bin
          Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: bsd@haps.ca

I'm running 11-stable r324834.
Typing 'ls' while ssh'd in through tmux on a linux machine, I get, along wi=
th
other stuff:
????????????????????????.txt

But if I do, for example, 'ls|grep txt' I get:
=E6=9B=B4=E5=A4=9A=E7=B2=BE=E5=BD=A9=E8=B5=84=E6=BA=90=E4=B8=8B=E8=BD=BD.txt

It's clearly not a display issue, since it can display. Looks like 'ls' ju=
st
gets confused by utf. I had a vague memory that utf in base utils was being
discussed, but found nothing relevant.
