Surprised me too! $ uname -sr FreeBSD 2.2-RELEASE 'make world' is in good shape for both "2.2-RELEASE" and 3.0-current when done on a machine installed with 2.2-BETA (separately installed for each run -- what are multiple disks for, after all!).
