The case in question -- the person who got cash back for returning Microsoft -- was dealing with a laptop. It's easy to put a tower together yourself and avoid the Win95/98 bundling thingy, however, it's a little more difficult when you're trying to put a laptop together. 8) My roommate, who is a Linux junkie, bought his tower from VA Research (www.varesearch.com) and it came with Linux out of the box.
