 I'm willing to take a crack at it; most of the time it's pretty
straight-forward, although some things have changed (e.g. vtouch()
doesn't exist in 2.2.x)

 I'm guessing that's different than the first set of diff's he sent
out... did you receive my 2.2.x diffs that should be the same as those?
And, if so, did you get a chance to try them?  I'm not sure that my
mail got out; as I had a panic (I believe the 'ppp' one discussed some
time ago) that may have messed things up.  They didn't work for my 
problem.
