Ok, I tried to install the 82558 NIC again and record the exact messages. This time I did not get the timeout message for the fxp1 device (82558). If I remember correctly the message was Kernel: fxp1 timeout SCB. It just kept scrolling off the screen in the late stages of the boot, after the loader had already recognized it. I just ran another tape test against NFS mounted FS's and only got one timeout at the end of the tape. It seemed to work ok on the 82558 (fxp1). Doing it again to test some more. thanks, Mike Tancsa wrote: > > At 12:44 AM 7/18/2001 -0700, Craig Shaver wrote: > >Running in 100baseT.
