cd sbin/mknod
make install
<follow directions to build/install a kernel>
<follow rebuild disk /dev entries above> [*]
reboot
<in single user>
cd /usr/src
make -DNOINFO installworld
make installworld
NOTE: 'make -DNOINFO installworld' above
