I had a mid-tower with a similar problem. It had room for two
supplemental fans. One in the front of the case and I added one above
the PS. I had the one above the PS pulling in cool air and the cpu
continued running 40oC or higher. I switched the direction so that it
was pushing hot air out of the case and the temperature at the cpu
dropped 12+oC.
