I've been heavily using my Jaz drive, for both backup AND archive, since June of last year, with absolutely no problems. I always have a Jaz disk mounted 24/7. Are you aware that there is a recall on some Jaz cartridges, due to somewhat defective parts? Check the Iomega website (http://www.iomega.com/) for more info.
