>Description:
I wanted to use a better resolution on the console of my laptop (T42).

So I built an kernel based on GENERIC and the addtion of following lines
options SC_PIXEL_MODE
options VESA

With vidcontrol MODE_324 I got 1400x1050 pixels.
This works fine but if I start X11 and I try to switch back to the console
the system hangs up.
If the sound is enabled this is combined with a special noise.

I could switch to a virtual terminal with the original resolution.
But if I change the resoultion in this terminal I will get the same effect.

X11 loads radeon.ko and drm.ko.
