The undernet IRC community serves about 10,000 users at any given time. The default server, which chooses other servers based on load, is us.undernet.org. However, the fastest server (not by any means incidentally) runs a custom FreeBSD kernel (with the help of people from #freebsd on undernet) at vancouver.bc.ca.undernet.org, ports 6660-6680
