Before the official integration, Doug & I had gotten the Cypress IDE controller working on my (newer) PWS500aus & xp1000s. For the next week or so I'm keeping my local tree frozen at pre-newbus, so I have no way to verify that it actually works. But from a quick look at ata-all.c v1.8 I think the important changes are there & that it should work...
