Whe booting FreeBSD 4.0-release, my soundblaster16 is detected as sbc1. There is, of course, no direct access to the card using the snd/pcm driver. My sound apps (Kmp3, kmidi, etc) appear to work fine, but no sound output. Am I correct in assuming that mis-identification of the sound card is the cause, and what would cause this?
