Greg,
Yes, after editing the pccard.conf file I have been rebooting.
At first, I figured that I must have slipped while typing, since the system would presumeably be looking in pccard.conf for an exact match. However, I have double checked and my entry is:
#Linksys EtherFast 10/100 Integrated PC Card (PCM100)
card "Linksys" "EtherFast 10/100 Integrated PC Card (PCM100)"
config auto "ed" ? 0x80000
insert /etc/pccard_ether $device start
remove /sbin/ifconfig $device stop
Thanks for your help,
Graham
