Wow! Lucky me. Running FreeBSD in VMWare3.2 v4.7R runs perfectly, but I liked to experiment a little. After all: what's the harm in a vm machine ;-)) So I choosed 'upgrade' from the /stand/sysinstall menu and choose what I had chosen when installing (minimal install). Pointed at the main FTP site and there it goes.. Alas, after rebooting the system is halted. Cannot load kernel or kernel.old What did I do wrong? Must I update All instead of Minimal? Or what? -- dick -- http://www.nagual.st/ -- PGP/GnuPG key: F86289CE ++ Running FreeBSD 4.7 ++ Debian GNU/Linux (Woody) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
