https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D212269 Bug ID: 212269 Summary: ZFS ARC appears to ignore vfs.zfs.arc_max Product: Base System Version: 10.2-STABLE Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: conf Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: scratch65535@att.net CC: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org CC: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org ZFS was grabbing all but 1G of my server-of-all-work's 32G memory (the list= ed default behavior, which seems ridiculous). To afford other jobs memory in w= hich to run, I put=20 vfs.zfs.arc_max=3D"8G"=20 into /boot/loader.conf and rebooted. But tops and zfs-stats continue to re= port that ZFS still claims 28G for itself.=20=20 Thinking it might be a regression to when "M" and "G" weren't being interpreted, I tried entering the limit in bytes (8796093022208) instead bu= t it made no difference. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.=
