That's the name of the service it provides (same as NetBSD). It hadn't occured to me to rename the service instead of the variables, but that's possible also. Feel free to reimplent it that way, if you wish. It should just be a matter of reverting the variable names, changing service name in the script, and modifying the headers of other scripts to recognize the new name.
