>Description:
On my digital-alphastation gateway-router I wanted to implement an X-terminal function, starting the X server with
X -query myserver :1
but no login screen opens from "myserver". The firewall rules are set ok, as I do not see any denies in the log files respectively to that started process.
The funny thing is, if I do
X -broadcast :1
I get loginscreens radomly of one of my open xdm-servers in the net. So theoretically it is working.
Reading tcpdum I can see the sessions open for the broadcast option but with the query option there is just nothing. All this has worked on the 5.1 Release on a PC, but now I changed to the alpha machine and to 5.2.1. Are there made any basic security changes? Is it a bug?
well thanks for any help. In the case you need more information, please let me know what I missed to tell here.
