Our HP machines had a Mylex RAID controller with HP BIOS (and possibly firmware). I wonder if that is the origin of the HP caching RAID-5? Is Mylex a free-software friendly house? I believe they absorbed BusLogic a while back. Oops! Now IBM has absorbed Mylex (or plans to). They should be free-software friendly now :-) At 10:03 AM 9/9/1999 -0700, Nikolaus Spence wrote: >Is this also true for the HP NetServers?
