I have configured "COM2" as the IPMI SOL interface and enabled console redirection. Netbooting via pxeboot works well and the loader menu is interactive and responds. After NFS booting into freebsd (current or stable/11), getty fires up and attaches to ttyu0. It prompts me correctly, but it does not accept my keystrokes. If I do not configure /etc/ttys to enable a tty unconditionally (on vs onifconsole), I see dmesg/kernel boot messages but never get a tty. Its as though FreeBSD does *not* recognize the IPMI SOL port as the console or something and I'm super confused. Any thoughts here? sean --L84J4u1n31Lf2DlW7wysvYka43gilROuJ-- --UkeFCxK3vb1TsOM3oCp15RlqGbEiWSAhk Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQGTBAEBCgB9FiEE6MTp+IA1BOHj9Lo0veT1/om1/LYFAltrcTVfFIAAAAAALgAo aXNzdWVyLWZwckBub3RhdGlvbnMub3BlbnBncC5maWZ0aGhvcnNlbWFuLm5ldEU4 QzRFOUY4ODAzNTA0RTFFM0Y0QkEzNEJERTRGNUZFODlCNUZDQjYACgkQveT1/om1 /LbiAQgAhfC7DvBuICcd3nWFVD1VBakcHBD9lYQtiWNx4POYsiNbwW8Nnmw2UIMX 6DfiBAfJOKYAX0CWGRu7paKIkj5qNKbqdlnEH9YdhgqJvw38VwL3O6N/Dsf8t3/Q YKoeGu6VFqo2sAPfGyw/2rZZxACtgMb2yECrTtzzm8+sW5+D4JcvkY9OOTjvVoZG 52YPpvqMU28shj+fW84xN0bdSogTFm9MZlZZ7Uy7Ll5pWscvMK7sWwHQqEMJbPG1 LbOxuMxjkn56CNYoHBD8YPGIb+fjIh2NgHLGK9Q+HlIrgetjD33ZvpnYedWwsyxf WsMfRCNGetWyz2ArKjAy9xyphgTYHg== =3Xr0 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --UkeFCxK3vb1TsOM3oCp15RlqGbEiWSAhk--
