This is a good point. All the while I was looking at /var/log/maillog and looking at all those mail coming from www@hosting instead of client@hosting. The Apache binary has already suEXEC enabled and CGI scripts are being executed by the client UID instead of the UID running the httpd process. I'll try to consult with the client. Because setting the sender in the php script itself changes the envelope sender. One memory expensive solution of course would be to run php as a cgi and use suexec to make the scripts run as the owner of the virtualhost. Noah.
