Hi, i run mpd 3.2 on most of the customer boxes which have adsl connection. furthermore mpd acts as pptp dialin server for 3 concurrent m$ clients to give them access to their company network where it is not possible to use ipsec. i have 2 demo boxes upgraded to 4.4 starting with RC. last try with cvsup from monday 8:am GMT. one box is a compaq ML370 with 512MB and hot plug raid (ida driver) the other one is a noname P500 with 256 MB. since this upgrade both boxes reboots after more or less exactly (+- 1-2 min) 24 hours. when killing the mpd daemon this reboot doesnt happen. when watching the console you definitly see nothing except black screen and reboot. i set syslog to log *.* to another box. also nothing. i tried to recompile mpd after every installworld, but no success. killing other daemons letting mpd run alone doesnt help. reinstalling a fresh 4.3 also a cvsup from before 4.4 lets the boxes runs smothly without any reboot again. i looked in the mpd source, but havnt found something which gets me further. any ideas? btw: anybody found a solution for the ML370 fans? looked in google, but looks like everybody lives with the terrible noise of full running fans which can only be controlled by compaqs software for m$ OS's. -- -- Best regards / Mit freundlichen Gruessen, Karl M.
