Has anyone been able to get audio working on an Intel i7 system using
DisplayPort or HDMI? Specifically I have the following hardware
configuration:
FreeBSD boomer 11.0-CURRENT FreeBSD 11.0-CURRENT #0 r297692: Fri Apr
8 03:07:13 UTC 2016
root@releng2.nyi.freebsd.org:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC amd64
[pwright@boomer ~]$ cat /dev/sndstat
Installed devices:
pcm0: <Realtek (0x0233) (Analog 2.0+HP/2.0)> (play/rec)
pcm1: <Realtek (0x0233) (Analog)> (play/rec)
pcm2: <Intel (0x2809) (HDMI/DP 8ch)> (play) default
[pwright@boomer ~]$ sudo pciconf -vl
<snip>
hdac0@pci0:0:31:3: class=0x040300 card=0x30d017aa chip=0xa1708086
rev=0x31 hdr=0x00
vendor = 'Intel Corporation'
device = 'Sunrise Point-H HD Audio'
class = multimedia
subclass = HDA
I have verified audio works in this configuration with Windows and
Fedora/Linux, but I am unable to get audio out of the intel audio
device.
Cheers,
-pete
