You should send questions you have to questions@freebsd.org, and you may find useful also the newbies@freebsd.org. (send a mail to majordomo@freebsd.doc with subscribe questions and subscribe newbies in the body) 1.2. It is better to do the following before asking questions on the question list: -Read the "Complete FreeBSD", by Greg Lehey, it`s in /book on the first CD (it`s one of the best computer book i`ve ever seen) and is containing all the things you want to know about installing and many, many other things. -Read the FAQ on the www.FreeBSD.org (you can find it also on your disk after installing the system :-( ) -Search the mailing list archive. Question is the place where you will get help from others users (some gurus), in 99% very good answers. 2. Newbies is the meeting place for new users. 3. Doc is for the documentation project, not for questions. Hope it helped, Ionut Ion Mihai Tetcu itetcu@go.ro ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Get a free e-mail and 10M webspace at http://www.home.ro/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-doc" in the body of the message
