The patch here will fetch all of the distributions multiple times, since distfetch fetches all of them and runs in a loop, no? Maybe the best thing to do is to move lines 350-421 of "auto" into its own install stage ("fetchmissingdists"?) then call it from both "script" and "auto"? Would you be able to do that?
