the disk isn't full
btw /var/run/log is a socket
I've got syslogd to work
I just set:
net.local.dgram.maxdgram
net.local.stream.recvspace
net.local.stream.sendspace
net.local.dgram.recvspace
to the default values
and now my syslogd is running
and about the losses...the problem was in a switch near the router
