Hi,

=20

I used to have a SuperMicro server board and, since I no longer require BM=
C, I've replaced it with an ASUS B350 Prime board about 2 years ago.

=20

I have a Ryzen 2600, a separate 2 port GbE card, and it has everything else=
 you have.

=20

Outfitted like this, it's less than just a server board. I have 3400G proc=
essor (you could go even lower to the 2xxx series for less expense.

=20

It's much cheaper to have Ryzen, non-ECC memory, desktop motherboard, etc. =
than just buying a server class motherboard.

=20

Server class will be 2-4x more.

Hi all,

=20

For a few years, I've known that my media server's motherboard[1] was poten=
tially vulnerable to a bricking issue[2]. It looks like that day has come. :=
-/

=20

Or it might just be "normal" old-age, since I've had the board for ~4.5 yea=
rs.

=20

Either way, I find myself in need of a new motherboard. My requirements are=
:

=20

- 2C/4T amd64 (4C/8T preferred)

- 2x DDR4 slots (4x preferred)

- 6x SATA ports (8x preferred)

- 2x 1GbE NICs

- 1x 80mm M.2 slot (2x preferred, 110mm preferred)

- 1x PCIe x8 slot (2x preferred)

- BMC w/ dedicated NIC

=20

Suggestions?

=20

Thanks,

=20
