You're looking from the wrong perspective.  That's _very_ hard for someone
who doesn't grok unix; imagine how difficult it is trying to pronounce the
above line over a bad phone line to someone...

On the other hand 

"Select 'X installation' from the menu, and answer the questions" is a lot
easier.

Still too hard.  Xvidtune needs to be able to write to the config file,
or something else needs to catch its output and deal with it.

If you know what you're doing, sure.  If all you've ever used is Windows, 
it's a very daunting task. 

We're not suggesting that level of drool-proofness, but an approach that 
might make it a little easier for a seasoned Windows user to get configured
and up to speed without the excess of grief that's currently involved.
