Synopsis: strip kernel before moving it during make install State-Changed-From-To: open->closed State-Changed-By: n_hibma State-Changed-When: Thu Jun 24 10:48:07 PDT 1999 State-Changed-Why: In the CURRENT (or HACKERS) mailing list a discussion has decided on the fate of the symbols in the kernel. Strip the kernel before moving and any symbols or debugging symbols are only present in the kernel compilation directory. GDB can be used against the kernel there anyway.
