The issue started just after adding 4 virtual CPUs to the machine.
Adding more ram solved the issue.

I had 4 CPUs 8 Gig, problem raised with 8 CPUS 8 Gig, now I have 8 CPUs
and 12 Gigs - no problem: the machine swaps a bit, but no errors.

There might be a small bug in the kernel, but I think it is not worth
the investigation for a 11.3 release. Or maybe in qemu fake scsi api...

In any case, the discussion should belong to virtualization mailing-list.
