Hi! I'm using the FreeBSD 3.4 release. When trying to view "Places all over the world" vic quits with the following message just after showing the first few video sources: 33 [root] vic-2.8: ./vic 224.2.172.238/51482 shmat: Too many open files 34 [root] vic-2.8: What does this mean? How can I resolve the problem? On my SUN vic sees about 13 video sources in that group. ulimit reports the following: 43 [root] vic-2.8: ulimit -a core file size (blocks) unlimited data seg size (kbytes) 524288 file size (blocks) unlimited max locked memory (kbytes) unlimited max memory size (kbytes) unlimited open files 1064 pipe size (512 bytes) 1 stack size (kbytes) 65536 cpu time (seconds) unlimited max user processes 531 virtual memory (kbytes) 589824 44 [root] vic-2.8: Martin -- Martin Horneffer -- Horneffer@rrz.uni-koeln.de To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-multimedia" in the body of the message
