Greetings! To be clear, Rackable Systems is a BIG fan, and supporter of FreeBSD as an O/S and an organization and would never trash BSD. The quotation of Rackable is inaccurate. What was said is that 3-WARE has had some problems with drivers in general and did not compile the BSD drivers for their products, as they did (or at least facilitated the compilation) for Linux. In addition it was stated that we have a BSD-savvy customer that is struggling with this driver and 3-WARE's support of BSD in general. Furthermore, another customer (Yahoo!) has been successfully using the 3Ware card and is very happy with its performance. If any of this needs clarification, please feel free to contact me directly.
