The dgs port suffers from the same TIFF related problem as the tiff port. [contrib routine for converting Sun rasterfiles to TIFF] [Port patched 1999/04/18]
all of these patches have dates. if you are using an installation from
before these dates and haven't updated your system, you could be bitten
by the bug mentioned. If you don't care about the bug mentioned then
you're safe.
Show some initiative, you might learn something.
