Hi all, update regarding latest pvrxxx-20071304 Tunercard: pvr-350 , Tuner NTSC see dmesg below for details. Response: I replaced my aerial (possible interference issues) with a Cable-TV connection. so far so good!, finally getting A/V on all 70 channels, (using ...setchannel freq) with no errors in messages yet. A/V is choppy though. Symtoms: but its crappy( hard to explain really unless you see it, but the picture is cut in half, and the soound is choppy) -The pvr-350 is ok I checked it recently again in another box. It seems its a "sync" issue with the my Tuner -but I'm just guessing here. Sean, I'm curious is yours pvr500 and NTSC-tuner, or pvr350 ?, NTSC frequenciy settings should be standard anyway, obviously our tuners maybe different, -I must have an oddball. dmesg... cxm0: <Conexant iTVC15 MPEG Coder> mem 0xf4000000-0xf7ffffff irq 21 at device 10.0 on pci2 cxm_iic0: <Conexant iTVC15 / iTVC16 I2C controller> on cxm0 iicbb0: <I2C bit-banging driver> on cxm_iic0 iicbus0: <Philips I2C bus> on iicbb0 master-only <2>tveeprom: ivtv version <2>tveeprom: Hauppauge: model = 48132, rev = K268, serial# = 9939981 <2>tveeprom: tuner = LG TAPE H001F MK3 (idx = 68, type = 47) <2>tveeprom: tuner fmt = NTSC(M) (eeprom = 0x08, v4l2 = 0x00001000) <2>tveeprom: audio processor = MSP4448 (type = 1b) <2>tveeprom: decoder processor = SAA7115 (type = 13) tuner type: 47 cxm0: Eeprom NTSC tuner: type set to 47 (LG NTSC (TAPE series)) by cxm tuner: switching to v4l2 before tuner_command! tuner: tv freq set to 61.25 tuner: tv 0x06 0xb0 0x8e 0x01 cxm0: SAA7115 rev 1 video decoder cxm0: MSP4448G-A2 audio decoder cxm0: IR Remote cxm0: [FAST] cxm0: encoder firmware version 0x2060039 cxm0: decoder firmware version 0x2020023 before tuner_command! tuner: tv freq set to 265.25 tuner: tv 0x13 0x70 0x8e 0x02 -------------------------------------------------------- thanks, Rick. >From: usleepless@gmail.com >To: "Sean West" <sean.west@gmail.com> >CC: freebsd-multimedia@freebsd.org >Subject: Re: latest pvrxxx >Date: Fri, 13 Apr 2007 17:06:27 +0200 > >Sean, List, > >On 4/13/07, Sean West <sean.west@gmail.com> wrote: >>On 4/12/07, usleepless@gmail.com <usleepless@gmail.com> wrote: >> > if you are going to test this version, i would like to hear from you ( >> > cc to the list as well): >> > - did it work >> > - how do you rate the quality of the capture >> > - what kind of card ( + tuner type ) , PAL or NTSC ( post relevant >> > part of /var/log/message if you are lazy ) >> > - are you experiencing problems, and if so: which problems. lots of >> > dma-messages count as a problem as well. >> >>I'm still getting static.
