GENERIC and my customized non-SMP kernel (named KERN) work fine. With added options SMP # Symmetric MultiProcessor Kernel options APIC_IO # Symmetric (APIC) I/O in SMP-KERN, ahc0 experienced timeout and dumped messages before later successfully probed all SCSI disks. This is an on-board AIC-7880 on a dual PentiumPro200 with four 4G hard disks. The operation after boot seems fine. The same machine also boots 4.7-stable with/without SMP, linux 2.4.18 with SMP and Windows 2000 perfectly. dmesg follows. Any idea? Thanks, -Brian Zhou Copyright (c) 1992-2003 The FreeBSD Project.
