Hi, It seems there are lot of feature which are not exposed by the sound driver for AC97, mainly surround sound , SPDIF, etc. There seems no plan to port ALSA to freeBSD. Also it appears it will be difficult to support the AC97 feature by the sound driver as it is. I was wondering is there a possibility of exposing AC97 as a driver itself where its registers can be manipulated by ioctl calls ? vivek
