Oh dear..  This is an expensive backout :-(.  Among the things that break
include libc's rpc and things like amd as a result, which leads to NFS
deadlocks.  (This was *the* primary cause of the nfsrcvlk deadlocks on 
freefall under 2.2.8 a while ago)

Do you have any ideas where the problem is?
