Hi, I had added the following line earlier today when I was mucking around:
{0x14e4, 0x4301, WI_BUS_PCI_NATIVE, "Linksys WMP11"},
to /usr/src/sys/dev/wi/if_wi_pci.c to the pci_ids[] array. When I recompiled
and tried it I got:
Dec 2 14:19:21 dragon /kernel: wi0: <Linksys WMP11> mem 0xdd000000-0xdd001fff
irq 12 at device 10.0 on pci0
Dec 2 14:19:21 dragon /kernel: wi0: wi_pci_attach() failed to enable pci!
Dec 2 14:19:21 dragon /kernel: device_probe_and_attach: wi0 attach returned 6
In another reply to my initial message Ian Fink said "As for the WMP11, some
have said that the cards that come in the box with "Made for Windows" does
not have the 3com (prism 2.5 chipset) in it, though they claim it's the same
card."
This computer is running 4.7-Stable, and definitely didn't already have the
WMP11 line. I'm sorry, but it's too late to test anything more now as I
already returned the card for a Netgear MA311 which works excellently and
right out of the box.
