If you are, I would recommend the JDK version. If your just using it to satisfy a need for java apps through your browser, the JRE version will be more than sufficient. Be careful though, there are some ports that will require one or the other. What I've done (on my 4.8 box), is to install the JDK first, and then install the JRE to use that plugin for my browsers, but that my not fit with what you'd like to do. and yes, it's pkg_add <package name>. And fair warning, Moz-FB take's time, and lots of it, to compile... :) You might want to look at the makefile first, and see if there are options you want to turn off in the compile. Eric
