Hello i´ve got a problem with mount_smbfs and charsets. When i mount a w2k share without specifying charsets (i´m a swede) the filenames get screwed up when there´s Swedish characters in them, but i can at least open/read the content in the files. Mount without specifying charsets: mount_smbfs -I 192.168.1.55 //web@it0100/Gemensam /usr/export/fs/Gemensam When i mount with charsets, the filenames are okay, but i cannot read them. I get errors like this: cat Prislista\ löpande\ räkning\ V1.0\ BH.doc Prislista löpande räkning V1.0 BH.doc: No such file or directory Mount with specified charsets mount_smbfs -I 192.168.1.55 -E iso-8859-1:cp850 //web@it0100/Gemensam /usr/export/fs/Gemensam I´m running FreeBSD 4.6.2. Some suggestions how to fix this? Regards Stefan To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the messagehelp
