I cant remember who just commited some SMP mods for PRE P5 and SMP boxes with some context switch mods but I just wanted to mention that on my dual P-200 things appear alot faster. Especially on bootup when squid goes and fires up, it used to grind for 30 seconds or so now its quiet and smooth. I'd time a make world but current seems to be quite broke right now from all the mail goin back and forth. But I just wanted to say whoever authored the code for the commit with the SMP, context switches and pre-P5 boxes GOOD WORK! Just hope its not quietly trashing my FS or similar quietly in the background :) Chris -- "I don't do favors, I accumulate debts" ===================================| Open Systems Networking And Consulting.
