And here is what is probably a very stupid answer. ;-) I don't know the answers to the questions you're asking. I only know how portupgrade works for me. I cd to /usr/ports/somedirectory/someport, then type # portupgrade someport Do you get errors when trying to upgrade a specific port in this way?
