What actually is the rule for when the modified mapping needs to be used? CNVio
version >= 2 ? I'm experimenting with a cpu_id based logic - seems to be
working for the firmware loader, but I can't get the kernel module to attach
the ubt device - need to look into that some more.

I asked Google Antigravity to come up with some code to detect the CNVio
version (and it did) - haven't tested it yet because I'm not sure what criteria
I actually need to use.
