            Bug ID: 261411
Summary: feature request: extend exports(5) format to allow
specifying multiple host/permission tuples in one line
           Product: Base System
           Version: CURRENT
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Some People
          Priority: ---
         Component: kern
          Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: d8zNeCFG@aon.at

[Note: This is a feature request, not a bug report.]

The feature/improvement consists of extending the exports(5) format to allow
multiple host/permission tuples on a single line.

It would be desirable to accommodate the format used by Linux, see, e.g.,
https://linux.die.net/man/5/exports .

This would bring the following advantages:
- ZFS sharenfs settings could be shared with Linux systems.
- Multiple ZFS sharenfs options could be set in one line, thereby finally
solving the long-standing bug #147881.
- In general, the exports(5) would be easier to read (arguable).
