The NVME patch was a mistake I made that I thought the corresponding feature
was 1-based, which in fact is zero. The behavior will be that number of IO
queues will be number of CPU's minus one and that is undesirable. Although this
will sort of fix the behavior on machines with ncpus less than or equal to 8,
it will still cause trouble if ncpus is greater than 8.
