It appears that the current port of oracle8-client in the ports tree only support i386 $ grep ARCH /usr/ports/databases/oracle8-client/Makefile ONLY_FOR_ARCHS= i386 As of now, I don't have access to an amd64 machine and hence I've no idea what would happen if you tried to use the current oracle8 client libraries on it. regards, joseph [snip]
