I was going to install 5.3 on a computer using the install over network option. I imaged boot.flp, kern1.flp, and kern2.flp to floppy disks using dd (not cp) and started the computer up with the boot disk in the drive. After seeing the ascii spinning thing (|, /, -, \, etc.), the computer spit this out: error 4 lba 248 Invalid format FreeBSD/i386 boot Default: 0:fd(0,a)/kernel boot: No /kernel FreeBSD/i386 boot Default: 0:fd(0,a)/kernel boot: I tried this on a few different disks, so that's not the problem. Any ideas what's wrong?
