Yeah, I use this. It works well, and is good for controlling your usage of 
disk space (although it doesn't address the problems of net bandwidth 
associated with news at all). INN logs all the necessary information about 
which groups are actually being read, actgroups just reads that log 
information to massage your expire.ctl.
