> + possibly, consider leaving some extra space at the beginning > of the cluster before passing it to the driver Is it usually a cluster being output, or a normal mbuf with the transport and IP headers chained to the cluster? m_prepend() already puts the header at the end of the mbuf via MH_ALIGN() to leave space to prepend more. If this is for forwarded packets, perhaps there should be a MEXT_ALIGN() function to put input packets at the end of the cluster?
