Yes, this is an issue with vt_vga, and affects fonts other than a
multiple of 8 pixels wide.  It's pr191591.

I think #2 and #4 are variations on the same issue, and only affect
vt_vga as far as I know.  Can you submit a PR for that issue, and one
for #3?
